Album Launched

Our debut album ‘On A Whim’ is now available worldwide and we are so excited to finally be able to share this with you all!

A Different Thread

A lot of blood, sweat, tears, mud, rain, laughter and beers went into this record to get it to this point and all but one track was cut back to back in just ten days straight.

It rained for 8 of those days.

Jeff Crawford did an outstanding job as producer, engineer, mixer and part time therapist, let alone playing a host of instruments on this record and we highly recommend his studio in Chapel Hill, NC.

Check out Arbor Ridge Studios website here

We have so many thank you’s to the people who were involved and although we aren’t going to list names here, you all know who you are! Thank you!

CD’s and Vinyl can be purchased through BandCamp and of course, at our live shows.

People in Lichfield can buy the CD from S&J Music shop on Bird Street.

Some of you may be aware of the incoming 'Hurricane Florence’ which is headed for the Carolinas this evening.  Therefore, it is with a heavy heart that we have to cancel tonight's record launch show at Cat’s Cradle in Carborro, however, we have plenty of NC tour dates coming up, see the tour page on our website.

Please take a moment to share the record on social media or with someone whom you think might like it!

To find the album, search ‘A Different Thread’ in iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, Deezer, Apple Music, Bandcamp and Soundcloud now!

After 10 intense days in the studio in North Carolina, we have a record!

The tracks are in the post production phase now, we think they are already sounding great!

Thunder and Fireflies

In between the downpours, the first fireflies of the season begin to glow.  Another tour comes to a close as the thunder rolls on into the night.

The rain, despite causing our last show to be cancelled, is a welcome change.  Over the last month we have been graced with scorching weather, stunning scenery, engaged audiences, exciting venues, and unexpected adventure...not to mention some famous southern hospitality!
It has also been a pleasure to perform with Alan Best and Birdie Baird (see photo) along with a host of other local talent as we prepare to record our debut full length album starting tomorrow!

Our Kickstarter campaign was a success—thank you so much to those of you who donated to our project! We look forward to creating your rewards and getting them into your hands!

On Saturday June 1st, Robert will be returning to his hometown to perform a solo blues set at the Lichfield Jazz and Blues Festival and you can catch a full band show at the Globe at Hay on Wye on the 22nd June.  Look our for more UK dates to be announced!

Our album Kickstarter is now in its final stage and ends this Sunday at 9.22am USA time (or 2.22pm if you're in the U.K.).  A massive thank you to those of you who have shown your support already, we are very close to the $7,700 goal.  Even a little donation goes a long way!

Here's a live video we made in Paris back in March. The tune is 'Carolina Song' and will be one of the tracks on the upcoming album.

MAKING RIPPLES

"You're not allowed to play music here, you have to stop" said the burly security guard, holding his walkie-talkie threateningly.  We were in the old tobacco district in downtown Durham, NC, gearing up for our interview and live session on national public radio...
and trying not to get kicked off the premises!

Frank Stasio's voice is a daily comfort for many Americans living in North Carolina who tune in to listen to his show 'The State of Things'.
"Oh you brought the ukulele!" he said when he walked in and saw Alicia strumming along.
"I can't believe that's Frank Stasio" said Kaiah, as Frank walked by. Birdie let out a faint yelp.

And here is a short clip of us rehearsing in the studio before the interview with our guest musicians; Kaiah Wells and Birdie Baird.

In other exciting news, our album Kickstarter is currently 70% funded! We now have just 6 days left to reach our goal!

Many of you have been amazing at showing your support since we launched earlier this month, thank you so much!

There are still some great rewards on offer, please continue to share and donate if you can!
We will be heading to the studio at the end of May to record the album.

Until then, why not see if you can catch us at a show in the US south?
